LiveFootballChat.com is a free site that allows you to talk real time with other football fans live during the 2010 - 11 NFL season. A dedicated chat room is started before each game and closes after the game is finished.

www.LiveFanChat.com is a privately held web technologies firm developing highly scalable chat technologies for interacting during live events.
These technologies will be used to provide registered users a number of "destination websites" to interact with each other online in real time.

There are actually 12 Live Fan Chat websites. We've made sure that you have choices, because choices are important. Visit www.LiveFanChat.com/Sites and take your pick.
Your username and password will work for all of them! Genius, right? Maybe you'll find that the Nascar scene is right up your alley, or that Hockey is much more fun with a chatroom full of people.

1. Go to the landing page at http://www.LiveFootballChat.com

2. Click Login

3. Click "Remind Me Of Password"

4. Enter either your Username or Email address and click "Submit".

A new password will be emailed to you. Don't forget to change it to something you can remember this time.

1. Click "My Account" at the top off the page.

2. Click "MY Profile"

3. Then enter your new password.

Don't forget to click "Submit" at the bottom of the page to save your new password.

On the main "Schedule" page you will see a list of your buddies in one of the Mini Modules along with their online status (Green means online ? Grey means offline).

If you want to join your buddy in the Chat Room listed next to their name, simply double click their name and your Chat window will open to the room they currently are chatting in.

Click "My Buddy List" at the top of the page in the title bar.

You will see a list of people in your existing Buddy List, or to add a new buddy simply enter their username and click submit.

You will now be able to see which room they are chatting in or when they are offline.

You must enter their User Name ? not their real first name or surname

1. Click "My Account" at the top off the page in the title bar.

2. Click "MY Avatar" Then Click ?Browse? to find the photo you want to use from your computers hard drive.

3. Once you have found the photo you want hit save then the orange "Upload" button. Your new Photo will preview on the left.

4. Then hit "Submit" at the bottom of the page to save.

Don't forget to hit Submit to save any changes you have made.

1. Click "My Account" at the top off the page.

2. Click "MY Profile". Then Click the drop down box for Country, State, City or Zip

3. Click "Submit" at the bottom of the page to save the changes.

If you don't want your location to appear on your avatar, simply click on "My Avatar" then click the No Display option for Age, Sex, Location or Message

Go register a new username, choose wisely this time :)

We're just like you, from time to time you sign up for something then later change your mind. No problem, just send an email to CloseAccount@LiveFootballChat.com with your username as the subject. We're sorry to see you go but if you ever want to come back again... Feel free anytime but you'll need to use a different username.

Click "Schedule" on the top left of the title bar, this will show you any chats that are either in progress or scheduled for later in the day. All of the start times are -GMT time.

1. Scroll down using the arrows until the grey highlight bar scrolls to the Chat Room you want to join.

2. Double click the highlight bar - the chat session will now begin.

(Remember each Game Chat Room doesn't open until 30 minutes before game time)

A CHurl is a real time link in time and space to a particular comment in a particular game's chat room. CHurls can emailed, Twittered or posted to Facebook in order for your friends to join you at a particular point of time in a conversation.

Get it? It's a CHat - URL

Game chat room sessions are only live during the event. At the end of the game the room is archived.

Your personalized url is the unique address to your profile, it displays stats like how many times you have logged in or how many messages you?ve posted.

It consists of the site name, plus your user name - www.livebaseballchat.com/yourname. At anytime you can view your/other users' profiles by entering the user name directly after the site url - i.e www.livebaseballchat.com/username.

Once you start up the particular Chat Room you want to chat in simply type in the grey box below where it says "Type a message here"

To post your message to the room use your mouse and click on the black and blue "CHurl" icon on the right or just hit enter.
(Shift + Enter) can be used where you just need to start a new line.

Your message will appear above next to your name where the rest of the room can read it. Your Avatar photo will also appear on the left briefly until someone else enters a new message.

There are 3 ways to ask friends to join you on www.LiveFootballChat.com, you can;

• Send a Churl via email, or
• Tweet on Twitter, or
• Publish on Facebook.

First, from the game chat room simply click the "Email a CHurl" icon on the left.

An overlay with the CHurl entry information will appear

To send a CHurl from you email, skype or blog, copy the ?Email a CHurl? entry and paste it directly into your email, skype message or blog.

To send a CHurl within the www.LiveFootballChat.com application, simply type their email address with a comma separating each email address. You may choose to customize the message below. Remember not to alter the provided link in the message, otherwise your friends wont be able to link directly to the chat room you are currently in.

From a game Chat Room simply click the "Tweet to Twitter" icon on the left.

An overlay with the "Tweet to Twitter" entry information will appear. From here you can tweet the CHurl for the room you are currently in along with a custom message. (remember total message length including CHurl cant exceed 140 characters).

First select:

• Tweet this just once
• or - Tweet what room I join each and every time

Remember not to alter the provided link in the message, otherwise your friends wont be able to link directly to the chat room you are currently in. Click the "Save Settings and Tweet to Twitter Now" button to save settings and Tweet your Twitter.

From the game chat room simply click the "Publish on Facebook" icon on the left.

This icon will cause the "Publish on Facebook" overlay entry page to appear, from here you can publish the CHurl for the room you are currently in along with a custom message.

First select:

• Publish this just once
• or - Publish what room I join each and every time

Second select:

• Post to my Facebook Status
• or - Post to my Facebook Wall

Remember don't edit the url in the message below otherwise your friends wont be able to link directly to the chat room you are currently in. Click the "Save Settings and Publish on Facebook Now" button to save settings.

1. Click "Tweet on Twitter" from any chat room page.

2. Check the check box to "Tweet this just once".

3. Click the "Save Settings and Tweet to Twitter Now" button to save settings

1. Click "Publish on Facebook" from any chat room page.

2. Check the check box to "Publish to Facebook this just once".

You should also check

• Publish to My Facebook Status
• Publish to my Facebook Wall

3. Click the "Save Settings and Publish to Facebook Now" button to save settings

Once you have registered your Twitter and Facebook details with www.LiveFootballChat.com you are able to post to your Twitter stream and your Facebook streams simply by ending your message with either #Twitter or #Facebook.

By doing this the www.LiveFootballChat.com website will automatically post your last message to Twitter and Facebook for your friends to see.

Log in to either www.twitter.com or www.facebook.com
Change your password or username there.

When you next log in to www.LiveFootballChat.com Click "Tweet on Twitter" or "Publish on Facebook" from any chat room page.

Because your login details have changed it will ask you to re-enter your Twitter or Facebook username and password.

Continue as per normal ? your new details will now be saved.

If you double click a persons name or the message next to their name in the Chat Box their Avatar Popup will appear.

An Avatar Popup tells you more information about the person but also allows you to add them directly to you're my Buddy List from the Chat page

To discover others who are fans of your team, click on that team's name. Doing so will bring up the 'Fan Wall', displaying everyone who has nominated them as their favorite team. Great minds think alike! Make some new friends who are on your level. Hint - invite everyone to your team's next game, and earn a crowd badge!

Crowd Badges are issued to groups of people who all log into a chat at the same time.

The first group of people to reach a size level is allocated a Gold Crowd badge. Contact your friends and organize your groups to reach each level first.

When someone clicks on the Crowd Badge in your profile a mini popup with an image of the badge and an explanation of the badge's details will appear.

The different levels are;
25 Crowd
50 Herd
100 Cluster
250 Flock
500 Swarm
1000 Blowout
2500 Deluge
5000 Horde
10000 Legion

These badges are allocated per site, but keep in mind when a group bigger than yours wins the next level....your badge changes from gold to its normal colour :(

Chat Starter badges are won by being the first person to log into a chat and post the first message.

Chat starter badges come in various levels. Who out of your friends has the most Chat Starter badges awarded?

Chat Starter badges count towards winning the King of the Site badges.

The Facebook & Twitter hash mark badges are awarded to users who have used the #Twitter and #Facebook command to post messages from within the app to their linked accounts.

Got a big mouth with lots to say? This badge is awarded if you post the most messages on a particular site, but is only awarded once. Wear it with honor once you have it, it?s yours. Unless someone else is chattier than thou?

This badge is awarded when a user has participated in a live chat on every site - excluding http://www.LiveWorldCupChat.com & http://www.LiveCricketChat.com. No lurkers, you must be active in each chat! You've made the rounds and earned your wings.

If you double click a persons name or the message next to their name, in the Chat Box their Avatar Popup will appear.

From the Avatar Popup you can click "Block User From View", be careful when doing this as you can never get this person back.

If you click this button on the Avatar Popup the person is still able to chat and interact with other people in the Chat Room but you will no longer see their messages, just like if they never existed.

www.LiveFootballChat.com is a public forum. Remember not everyone there may be like you and me, as such you may not always agree with what someone says.

You may not agree that the "Chicago Bears Suck" ? But this is not enough of a reason to report them.

However abuse, bullying and or threatening behavior will not be tolerated. If a person has way overstepped the boundary lines repeatedly then click "Report User Behavior" from the popup avatar box or on the Help pages.

This will not block their chat from appearing on the Chat Box but a member of staff will be able to review the text and make a decision on appropriate actions. However if it's deemed tolerable...actions may be taken against you.
